Metro

The Bucharest Metro comprises four lines:
M1 (Yellow): Dristor 2 ↔ Pantelimon
M2 (Blue): Berceni ↔ Pipera
M3 (Red): Anghel Saligny ↔ Preciziei
M4 (Green): Gara de Nord ↔ Străulești

Operating hours are from 05:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily.

During peak hours, trains arrive approximately every 4 – 7 minutes; during off – peak hours, the interval extends to 8 – 10 minutes.

Trams, Buses & Trolleybuses

Surface transport in Bucharest includes trams, buses, and trolleybuses, all operated by STB (Societatea de Transport București).

Services typically run from 04:30 AM to 11:50 PM, with night buses (lines 601 – 624) available from 11:50 PM to 4:30 AM.

Taxis & Ride – Sharing

Taxi fares are approximately 3.5 RON per kilometer, with a base fare starting at 6 RON.

Bucharest’s unified ticketing system allows travel on all public transport modes. Tickets are valid from the moment of validation and allow unlimited transfers within the specified time.

24 – Hour Pass: 14 RON
72 – Hour Pass: 35 RON
7 – Day Pass: 50 RON
Monthly Pass: 140 RON

Tickets can be purchased via the LitraBus app, at ticket vending machines, or at kiosks located in metro stations and on buses/trams.
