Cookie Policy

We use cookie modules on our website. In accordance with the provisions of Law no. 506 of November 17, 2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, all visitors to the website are asked for their consent before cookies are transmitted to their computers.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small files made up of letters and numbers that are stored on a user’s computer, mobile device, or other equipment from which they access the internet. Cookies are installed by a request issued by a web server to a browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Opera) and are completely “passive” (they do not contain software programs, viruses, or spyware and cannot access information on the user’s hard drive).

What are Cookies used for?

Cookies can ensure faster and easier interaction between users and websites. For example, when a user logs into a website, login data is stored in a cookie; later, the user can access the site without having to log in again.

In other cases, cookies can be used to store information about the activities carried out by the user on a specific webpage, allowing them to easily resume those activities when returning to the site. Cookies tell the server which pages to display to the user, so they do not have to remember this or navigate the entire site from the beginning. Thus, cookies can be compared to “bookmarks” that show the user exactly where they left off on a website.

Similarly, cookies can store information about products ordered by a user on an e-commerce site, making the “shopping cart” concept possible.

What Cookies do we use?

We use two types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary files that remain on the user’s terminal until the session ends or the application (web browser) is closed. Persistent files remain on the user’s terminal for the duration defined by the cookie parameters or until manually deleted by the user.

Do Cookies contain personal data?

Cookies themselves do not require personal information to be used and, in most cases, do not personally identify internet users. Personal data collected through cookies is collected only to enable certain functionalities for the user. This data is encrypted in a way that prevents unauthorized access.

Deleting Cookies

Limiting or deleting cookies may affect certain functionalities of the webpage. If you still wish to delete them, the “Help” section in your browser should provide instructions on how to locate the file or folder containing cookies.

Please note that by deleting or disabling future cookies, your user experience may be affected and you may not be able to take advantage of certain features of our website.

What to do if you do not want Cookies installed on your computer?

Some people consider the storage of information extracted from their computer or mobile device to be relatively invasive, especially when such information is stored and used by unknown third parties. If you prefer, you can block all cookies or only certain types, or even delete cookies already installed on your device. However, be aware that you may not be able to use certain functions. To activate this blocking, you need to modify your browser’s privacy settings. Some third-party operators have developed tools that allow the deactivation of data collection and usage. Disabling and refusing cookies may make certain websites unusable or difficult to visit. Also, refusing cookies does not mean that users will no longer receive/see online advertising. It is possible to adjust your browser so that it no longer accepts cookies, or to accept cookies only from a specific website. However, for example, if a user is not registered using cookies, they will not be able to post comments. All modern browsers offer the possibility to change cookie settings.

These settings are usually found in the browser’s “Options,” “Settings,” or “Preferences” menus.
